Rooster Applique Runner

In this class we will be working from 1 book throughout the year and making 3 projects. The first will be a rooster runner or wall hanging with your choice of flower block. This class does not provide a kit! Let your creative ideas loose and please bring a variety of scraps and yardage to complete your project. Supply list below - 

1 yard of background fabrics
1/2 yard of green tone for leaves and stems - scraps and small cuts for the other designs. 
1/4 yard fabric for inner border
1/2 yard outer borders 
23x53 cut for backing fabric & same size batting 
2 yards steam a seam or other paper backed fusible - light to medium weight 
1 yard SF101 or similar stabilizer
100 Whimsical Applique Designs Pattern Book (included with purchase of class)
sharp scissors for cutting - small and medium - micro serrated is recommended
sharp pencil for tracing - mechanical recommended  
1/2 yard parchment paper 

General sewing supplies, thread and machine 
light box or board is highly recommended
small iron also recommended

The flower block you choose needs to be blown up to a 16" block - you can do this by taking your book to any print shop and choosing the enlargement % based on page 11 of your pattern book - I used Sign & Print on the corner of Cedar and Harris in Helena. I have made enlarged copies of the rooster for everyone at 16"
