Learn to Quilt - It's okay to be a Square in a Square

Square in a square blocks are just as the name implies, the center of the block is a square with a triangle on each side that form another larger square.  

The students will make and square up the square in a square blocks.   Exploring the placement of fabrics in the square will also be discussed and examples of square in a square will be shown.  

Skill Level: beginner
Skill Details: Skills practiced: Making the square in the square Square up the square in a square block
Requirements: 6 x 24 inch ruler, square ruler - 12" x 12" or larger is preferred; rotary cutter with new blade; rotary cutting mat; sewing machine in good working order with new needle; thread - neutral color such as cream, white or light gray; seam ripper; scissors, thread snips and quilting pins, fabric marker.
